Caregivers need care, too.

When you’re caring for a child with complex needs, it’s easy to forget that your well-being matters too.

The Caregiver Commons is a welcoming community where caregivers can connect with others, explore creative interests, and make time for themselves through meaningful leisure and recreation.

Through art, food, movement, conversation, and community, we create opportunities for connection, creativity and renewal.

What happens at a session?

Every Caregiver Common session is a little different, but the goal is always the same:

To create a welcoming space where caregivers can connect, create and take a breath.

Create

Enjoy a simple creative activity such as art, crafting, journaling, cooking, or a community project. No experience required.

Connect

Share conversation, ideas, and everyday experiences with other caregivers who understand the realities of disability, neurodivergence, and complex care.

Recharge

Enjoy coffee, snacks, and a relaxed atmosphere where there is no pressure to perform, fix, or explain.

Leave Feeling a Little Less Alone

Whether you leave with a new friend, creative project, a helpful resource, or simply a lighter heart, we hope you leave feeling supported

Caregiver Commons is…

  • A creative community

  • A welcoming third space

  • A place to connect and belong

  • Time carved out for caregivers

Caregiver Commons is NOT…

  • Therapy

  • A parenting class

  • A formal support group

  • Another appointment to manage

Just a place to come as you are
